Setting up a Custom Color
You have the ability to customize your Airbo board with your branding colors.
Airbo wants to ensure that the colors you choose for your board can be seen and read by all participants. We recommend to follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
From their website: “WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) ensure that content is accessible by everyone, regardless of disability or user device. To meet these standards, text and interactive elements should have a color contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1. This ensures that viewers who cannot see the full color spectrum are able to read the text.”

If you are looking for accessible colors to include in your Airbo board. We recommend to look at the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) website. There is a lot of information on color accessibility and pairings.
Here are the steps to set up a custom color:
-
Go to the Setup tab in the Admin Toolbar
-
Locate the "Board Color" input field in the "Customization" Box
-
Enter in the HEX code for the color you would like to use for your board, or click on the colored rectangle to select a color. Then click save in the top-right corner.
Once you click save in the top-right-corner, the color you entered will appear throughout Airbo.
Here are some areas where the color is reflected in Airbo:
-
The board welcome banner that greets your employees when they browse to a board
-
The numbers and letters at the top of your employee user view
- The completion bars when completing Tiles and the box where number of points per Tile is listed
- The prize raffle preview. This will only appear if you have a prize set up in your Airbo Board
- In your email communications to your employees
*Airbo works hard to make our experience usable for all employees. We regularly audit for accessibility for those with visual impairment or screen readers. This customization is one area that we do not control.
