Incomplete Tile Status

Learn what makes a tile "complete" in Airbo and how to fix tiles that show as incomplete. This guide covers the required fields and common mistakes that prevent tiles from being ready to publish.

Before You Start

  • You need Admin access to your Airbo board
  • Make sure you're editing the correct tile

Time needed: 5-10 minutes to fix most issues

 

What Makes a Tile Complete?

Every tile needs specific information before it can be published. Think of it like a checklist. When all items are filled in, your tile is ready to go live.

Required Fields for All Tiles

Note: Different tile types may have additional required fields. Quiz tiles need questions. Link tiles need a URL.

 

How to Check What's Missing

Step 1: Open the tile editor

  • Go to your Content tab
  • Find the incomplete tile

  • Click to open the editor

What you'll see: The tile editing screen with all fields

Step 2: Look for warning indicators

Airbo shows you what's missing:

  • Red outlines around empty required fields
  • Warning messages at the top of the editor

  • A status indicator showing "Incomplete"

Tip: Scroll through the entire editor. Some required fields are below the fold and easy to miss.

Step 3: Fill in the missing fields

Enter content for any fields marked as required. Click Save after each change.

 

Common Reasons Tiles Show Incomplete

1. Missing headline or summary

What happened: The tile has content but no title or description.

Fix: Add a clear headline (keep it under 50 characters) and a 2-3 sentence summary.

2. No image uploaded

What happened: The tile needs a visual, but none was added.

Fix: Upload an image. Recommended size is 1200x628 pixels. JPG or PNG works best.

3. Quiz tile without questions

What happened: You created a quiz tile but didn't add the quiz questions yet.

Fix: Click into the quiz section and add at least one question with answer choices.

4. Link tile without a URL

What happened: The tile is supposed to link somewhere, but the URL field is empty.

Fix: Add the full URL (including https://) to the link field.

5. Category not selected

What happened: The tile needs to be assigned to a category for organization.

Fix: Choose a category from the dropdown in tile settings.

 

Quick Checklist for Complete Tiles

Use this checklist before publishing:

  • [ ] Headline is filled in
  • [ ] Summary describes what the tile is about
  • [ ] Image is uploaded and looks good
  • [ ] Category is selected
  • [ ] All tile-specific fields are complete (quiz questions, links, etc.)
  • [ ] No red warning indicators are showing

  • Do this: Write your headline and summary first, then add other content
  • Avoid this: Leaving tiles half-finished in your drafts
  • Remember: You can preview tiles before publishing to see how they'll look to employees
