How to Share a Highlight Using a Public Link or QR Code
Learn how to publish your Highlight using a public link or QR code, so employees can easily access your content without notifications.
Before You Begin
Before sharing your Highlight, make sure it’s finalized and live.
Employees will not be able to access your Highlight until it’s been published.
If you haven’t published yet, follow the steps below or watch the video above.
Step 1: Make Your Highlight Live
- Navigate to the Highlights Tab
- Open the Highlight you want to share.
- Click Edit Highlight.
- Scroll down to "Step 5: Review Tiles and Notifications".
- Select a Post Date for a day and time in the future. Important: A post date needs to be selected, this will not impact when the Tiles will be published without notifications.
- Click Review and Publish, then select Publish Without Notifications.
- Click Make Live Now.
Your Highlight is now in a live state and ready to be shared.
Step 2: Enable Public Sharing
- Go to the Setup tab.
- Navigate to the Public Sharing section.
- If it’s disabled, toggle Enable Public Sharing on.
Once public sharing is enabled, you’ll see options to copy your public link or download your QR code.
Step 3: Share Your Public Link or QR Code
- Public URL — Copy the link and share it through your company intranet, emails, newsletters, or chat channels.
- QR Code — Download and attach to email, newsletters, chat channels, print it to post in break rooms, bulletin boards, or other shared spaces.
Step 4: Understand Guest Users
When employees access the Highlight from the public URL or by scanning the QR code:
-
They’ll be considered Guest Users in your Reports.
-
Guest users can create an account or log in from the main URL.
-
If they don’t create an account, their engagement will not be tracked.
When to Use This Method
Using a public link or QR code is best when:
-
You’re sharing a Highlight with groups where you don’t have employee email addresses or contact info.
-
You want to make your content easily accessible without sending notifications.
It’s a simple, low-maintenance way to reach employees wherever they are—especially if they don’t regularly check their inbox or internal portals.
Next Step
Once your Highlight is live and shared, go to the Reports tab to track engagement and see how employees interact with your content over time.
